Stock Epinephrine Entity Laws
Numerous states have passed legislation that permits, but do not require, public entities to stock undesignated epinephrine on site for use in case of emergency. Public entities may include colleges/universities, day camps, daycare centers, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, sports arenas, theme parks, etc.
Thirty-five (35) states have passed "entity laws", which permits the venue to stock undesignated epinephrine in case of an anaphylactic emergency:
Thirteen (13) states have no legislation in place to date:
- District of Columbia
- Hawaii
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Mississippi
- Montana
- Nebraska
- New Mexico
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
- Wyoming
